The OBA Mission
Oklahoma Bible Academy exists to provide a God-centered
education. Our standard is the Bible and the life of Jesus Christ.
Our mission is to support Christian families and minister to many.
Mission Statement
The Mission of Oklahoma Bible Academy is to integrate God's word into
all aspects of learning and living.
Purpose
It is the purpose of Oklahoma Bible Academy to provide a
sound academic education integrated with a Christian view of God and
the world. There is an
important difference between the Christian and the non-Christian
viewpoints on a given subject. Even though knowledge
is factually the same for both, no subject can be taught in the totality
of its truth if the Creator, God, is ignored or denied. God is the
key
to education.
The Bible clearly states the principles which underlie Christian
education. History of OBA
The Meno Preparatory School
was founded in 1911 in Meno, Oklahoma by a group of Christian
parents.
Becoming Oklahoma Bible Academy in 1917, and moving to Enid,
Oklahoma, in 1983, OBA is now interdenominational, and remains
committed to its original goal of a Christ-centered education in
grades 7 through 12.
Faculty
The major strength of the school is the dedicated group of men and
women who serve God on the faculty. Each teacher is a
committed Christian who is professionally trained and certified
through the Association of Christian Schools International.
All are graduates of a four year college or university and many of
them have advanced degrees.
Accreditation
Oklahoma Bible Academy maintains accreditation through the
Oklahoma State Department of Education and the Association of
Christian Schools International (ACSI). |
